Patients at our practice have access to periodontal treatments with both LANAP and REPAIR lasers. Many offices are limited in what they can do in regards to laser treatment, as they are not prepared to make effective use of this technology. Patients who see Dr. Kania for treatment can have work done with different laser options, which allows us to adjust treatments to their needs.
Soft tissue lasers allow us to make more careful and conservative cuts to patients’ gum tissues. These smaller cuts will not require sutures, and the lasers limit any bleeding. During treatment, we are able to gain access to spaces where bacteria have built up underneath your gums and destroy these microbes. By doing this, and by removing infected tissues, we give your body an opportunity to heal. After treatment, you will naturally grow back tissues that are not affected by infection.
Through the use of lasers, we can make jawbone grafting and gum grafting procedures easier for patients. These tools let us carefully access areas where jawbone grafting will take place, making the recovery period easier. For gum grafting, we can actually create a series of pin-sized holes for the manipulation of tissues to restore a natural and healthy gum line.
Through the use of lasers, our practice is able to fight potentially serious issues with periodontal disease that currently affect you! We rely on lasers for several procedures. When they are used, they do a better job than manual tools at protecting healthy tissues, limiting bleeding, and encouraging faster and easier recovery times.
